Ways to maintain public health


The Chinese website WeChat recently published a report that included a list of a group of foods that are unhealthy to put in the refrigerator, because they become non-nutritive, and may even be dangerous to human health.


1- spices


According to WeChat, it is harmful to health if we keep spices and seasonings in the refrigerator, such as:


  • Pepper.
  • anise.
  • And other spices.


When spices in the refrigerator absorb moisture, they begin to produce some harmful mycotoxins, which are dangerous for liver function.


2- tropical fruit


The site also indicated the danger of keeping tropical fruits in the refrigerator, such as:


  • the banana.
  • Lycheea.
  • nd other tropical fruits.


This is because these fruits decompose quickly and lose all their nutritional benefits due to the high humidity.

In addition to a cold environment, bacteria like to multiply in it, especially in fruits, causing the production of toxins and harmful mycobacteria which affects overall health.


The site added:


  • It is advised not to store any uncooked pasta products.
  • The danger of keeping fermented vegetables in the refrigerator.
  • It is not recommended to keep any kind of medicinal herbs in the refrigerator.

Because its presence with nutrients for a long time makes it absorb moisture, which loses the beneficial healing properties of the body, and helps the penetration of various types of bacteria.


The Chinese website indicated that people treat the refrigerator as a cupboard, in which they can store anything, but this is a negative view and may pose a threat to public health and life.
